CASE STUDY: East Potomac Park Golf Course

 

THE NEED: A cost efficient tent to monetize an outdoor patio that was being unused

East Potomac Park Golf Course was in need of a tenting solution in order to maximize their outdoor picnic area in front of the clubhouse.  The newly tented area would be used for fundraising events, corporate gatherings, picnics, weddings and more.  The golf course needed a tent that was not only study, versatile, but also economical.

 

THE PROBLEM: No tent storage space on site and no tent set up expertise

The golf course did not have a shed or any storage area to keep the tent when not in use.  Furthermore, the golf course needed a tenting partner that could provide proper installation and breakdown of the tent as needed.

 

THE SOLUTION: Purchase of a new tent and enter a long term storage and installation plan with ERDC

ERDC provided East Potomac Park Golf Course with a new 40×60 Frame Tent, complete with freight and installation as well as an event maintenance plan.  During event season, ERDC brought out the 40×60 tent and installed it on the golf course as needed by the client.  After the event season, ERDC broke down the tent and stored it in the warehouse until the next year. 

 

THE ECONOMICS:

By owning and storing a tent with ERDC, East Potomac Park saves tens of thousands of dollars a year vs renting. TYPES OF TENTS FOR SALE:

The two most popular types of tents that we carry are commercial frame tents and keder structure tents.  Commercial frame tents come in 10, 20, 30, and 40ft wide increments and can be extended to over 100ft long.  These types of tents are great for restaurants, patios, homes, businesses, or just about anywhere you need a reliable, functional, and affordable tenting solution.  These tents are fire resistant, wind resistant, and can handle moderate snowfall.  However, if you are in need of a more robust solution where sustained wind or snow load is an important consideration, kedered structured tents are your solution.  These models are have high wind tolerances of up to 90mph, and are build to handle even the toughest snow.  Furthermore, both types of tents can be outfitted with a number of tent accessories, such as flooring, climate control systems, sidewalls, lighting, doors, and more.

  • 6005 T-6 anodized marine aluminum, 1 3/4″ OD, 1/8” wall thickness with exclusive alignment line.
  • Patented cast aluminum fittings and detachable cast aluminum base plates.

  • Leg height is adjustable from 6’6”, 7’, 7’6” and 8’.
  • Legs telescope down to 5’ for easy installation of tent cover and other accessories.

Keder Structure Tent Specs:

  • The keder tent features a keder track system that streamlines the installation process.
  • Engineered and wind load tested, snow load tested.
  • The keder track system ensures a strong and dependable connection, evenly spreading the top tension across the tent frame. This improves the frame’s overall durability and stability, allowing your tent to bear heavier loads.
  • Additionally, the keder tent is built with a frame made of 6061-T6 anodized aluminum alloy. This material provides exceptional corrosion resistance and durability in severe weather conditions, outperforming steel.
  • Keder tent tops and sides are made from 430 g white double PVC, providing robust protection against outdoor elements like wind, rain, and temperature shifts.
